Join us for the inaugural Breakthrough Models Academy, a collaboration of EDUCAUSE, the League for Innovation in the Community College, and Next Generation Learning Challenges. The Academy's goal is to surface and advance the next generation of change agents to design models that point to the future of higher education.
The Academy consists of three components:
1. Face-to-Face Program
July 14-19, 2013 | Cambridge, MA
The face-to-face event will convene for a week in July. Key topics will drive each day's exploration. During the day and after hours, the academy experience is anchored by active learning and participant dialogue with experts in the field. Over the course of the week, individuals will merge into teams in preparation for the design challenge.
2. Team Collaboration
Summer 2013 | Online
Following the week in Cambridge, teams will make arrangements to continue work on their designs through ongoing collaboration and mentoring from academy leaders.
3. Team Presentations
October 15-18, 2013 | Anaheim, CA
Team presentations will take place at the EDUCAUSE Annual Conference 2013.
Each member of the winning team will receive $5,000, split between educational credits (for scholarships to attend EDUCAUSE or League for Innovation in the Community College educational activities) and cash (taxable).
