When educators design and create new schools, and live next gen learning themselves, they take the lead in growing next gen learning across the nation. Other educators don’t simply follow and adopt; next gen learning depends on personal and community agency—the will to own the change, fueled by the desire to learn from and with others. Networks and policy play important roles in enabling grassroots approaches to change.
Amid school closures and increased social distancing to curb the spread of COVID-19, we ask you to contribute resources, tools, stories, and strategies to help your fellow educators navigate through the current uncertainty.

Amid school closures and increased social distancing to curb the spread of COVID-19, we ask you to contribute resources, tools, stories, and strategies to help your fellow educators navigate through the current uncertainty.
We are looking for resources that educators can use as they work to provide continuity of learning and supports for their learners and communities. We gratefully see that widespread sharing of online curricular resources and online teaching strategies is already happening. We hope to complement those efforts by collecting resources and insights related to the following:
- Communicating/partnering with students, parents, and families during the pandemic
- Attending to SEL needs of students, staff, and families
- Providing support to teachers as they “work from home”
- Planning for equitable learning opportunities and access; proactively addressing inequities exacerbated by school closures
- Supporting next gen learning in a virtual or home learning environment
- Planning for potentially extended closures and developing return-to-school strategies
- Other challenges and opportunities in your community
